All Ready For 2015 Workshops!

This one arrived just before Christmas and it's restoration is now complete.
German made, I think in the late 1940s, as the label states it to have been build in 'Western Germany'.
I was attracted by the warmth of the wood and the luscious decal.
After a clean and polish and replacement of broken strings, it is just beautiful. The zither sounds as warm as it looks.
A previous owner found an ingenious way to fix the broken C bass string. It works perfectly well and I didn't have the heart to change it as, while it holds, it forms part of it's provenance.
